Search Enhancements
Search Results
A significant change to the search engine will result in overall faster response times and increased relevancy for all Product Search results.
Search Bar Modification
The search bar was consolidated and simplified by reducing the dropdown options from five to two (Keyword and Part #). Keyword Search will result in a search that looks for a match found on ALL words anywhere in the following fields: Description, Product Class, Category and Part Number. A Part Number search will find results from both manufacturer part numbers and supplier part numbers in the internal admin usage, while on the StoreSite it looks only at manufacturer part numbers.
The "Starts With" check box has been removed for initial searches, but is still available on the new Advanced Search page.
The Advanced Search link consolidates the "Additional Search" and "Multi-Part Search" links (the Multi-Part Search is now on the Advanced Search page).
Order Management
Manual PO Retrieval
The ability to pull into ChannelOnline a purchase order that was placed outside of ChannelOnline (or manually) from Ingram Micro or Tech Data. The feature helps maintain a more complete record of all the orders you have placed with your suppliers. Manual PO Retrieval is found in the POs section on the bottom of the Supplier View page for either Ingram Micro or Tech Data. Ingram Micro requires both the Order Confirmation Number and the PO Number to retrieve the order information, while Tech Data only requires the Order Confirmation Number.
Print Packing Slip
A link has been added to the bottom of the Sales Order document that enables the ability to print it as a packing slip for shipping products to your end customers. Go to the E-mail / Print Setup page to select and save your default settings.
Customer Checkout
Payment Processing
You can now make payment easier for your customers by offering PayPal and Google Checkout on your stores. Once you have established an account with either processor, you can activate the feature by entering the required information through the Payment Options page. After you have assigned this option to the desired customer via the Company Info page it will then become available to the end customer. During the checkout process customers will be navigated out of the store and onto the processor's page to complete the financial portion of the transaction and then be directed back into your store.
